This recent upload of Leonora Lafayette has prompted my interest when I heard the voice of the Croation tenor "JOSEF (JOSIP) GOSTIC". Sufficiently pleasurable to make me listen more attentively.
Searched the internet, but very little information. Searched your blogspot, but you have nothing listed for him.
Perhaps you have some recordings by Josef Gostic that you haven't uploaded yet?
Or can you suggest anyway else to look for recordings by this excellent lyrical tenor?

This was his greatest role, although in this recording he was 62 years old. He died next year... He created one of the 3 tenors (Midas) in Die Liebe der Danae by Strauss under C. Krauss (1952 - there is a recording too). And, of course, the great Godunov with Christoff & Kubelik (London 1958, Myto). Best regards...
